SingularityU Italy Summit 2018: Way2Global linguistic partner

Categoria: News

Way2Global was confirmed as the language partner for the year’s most important technology and innovation event.

Following the success of the 2017 edition — the first to be held in Italy — the SingularityU Italy Summit returns to Milan. This event is dedicated to exponential technologies, and to building a new future. Within the framework of “MiCo” — Milan Congressi [Milan Expo Center], on October 2 and 3, a lively discussion was held on how the latest technological innovations are moving into our lives, giving a completely fresh look to society and changing how business gets done.

Over these two days, Way2Global was the language partner, translating remarks by the Italian and international presenters for an audience from across the globe. Expert, specialized interpreters acted as the voice for high-profile guests including Pascal Finette, David Orban, Nathana Sharma, Massimo Pellegrino, Ramez Naam, Amin Toufani and Roberto Cingolani, as well as a host of other experts in the field of exponential technologies and innovation.

This collaboration — between Way2Global and Singularity University — was renewed in 2018 following the success of the previous Italian edition. The relationship was bolstered by the vision for the future the two organizations share.

Way2Global, is a translation and interpretation firm — the first in the world born as a Benefit Corporation, with clearly delineated goals in their bylaws aimed at improving not just their own business outlook, but the economic, environmental, and social fabric of the community at large. By the same token, Singularity University — this very year — earned the title of B Corp, adding a number of goals for a positive global impact to its commercial objectives.

From this point of view, the SingularityU Summit 2018 was an example of a sustainable, ethical collaboration between two entities who firmly believe in business as a force for good, and in the possibility of effecting social change from within the world of business and labor. We harness the disruptive power of new technologies, and use translation as a bridge between different languages and cultures — a means of reaching shared objectives.
