Way2Global took the stage as simultaneous-translation provider at Italy’s most important event for the digital world

The 2017 IAB Forum was held in Milan on November 29 and 30. This is Italy’s most important event for the digital world, and the fourth leading European event in terms of participants.

The program is launched and produced every year by IAB Italia, the Italian charter for Interactive Bureau, the world’s leading association for digital marketing, representing the entire supply chain for interactive communication in Italy.

In the halls of Milan Congressi [MiCo — Milan Expo Center], a number of Italian and international guests gathered to tackle the issue of “Born Digital” with programs on digital advertising, debates on current and foreseeable uses of AI, as well as a number of discussions regarding online communication and information, sparking ideas in the minds of the over 1,500 participants.

Leading figures including Alexander Nix, CEO of Cambridge Analytica, Alberto Chalon, General Manager with Qwant, Claire Enders, Founder of Enders Analysis, Paola Cavallero, Marketing & Operations Director of Microsoft Italia, Jeff Koffman, CEO and Co-Founder of Trint, along with a host of other key players representing the vanguard of the digital market, took part to provide the audience with food for thought, and to show new developments and the avenues being explored at this historic time for innovation.

These weighty topics were balanced with entertainment by Luca Argentero, actor and Co-Founder of MyVisto, Fabio Rovazzi, singer and web star, and Paolo Kessisoglu, actor and television host.

Closing out the second day of the Forum were remarks by Julian Assange, the Australian journalist and activist who co-founded Wikileaks, a portal that shared secret government and business documents. Mr. Assange, who since 2012 has been living in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, was patched in via video.

Within that context, Way2Global facilitated communication and understanding of the complex issues being tackled, deploying a team of interpreters to provide simultaneous interpretation, giving foreign guests impeccable access to all content provided by the Italian speakers in English, lending international breadth to the event, and providing true added value. Acknowledgments poured out over social media from the IAB Italia producers for a job well done.

This work ties in perfectly with IAB’s intent — and indeed that of all those working in the digital world — and perfectly summed up by Way2Global’s corporate mission: “beyond borders for a better world”, overcoming any type of boundary to connect people, and to make the world a better place.
